TeleNursing

Outcomes

TeleNursing project aims to develop a digital transformation plan to enhance digital skills and competence development of healthcare professionals at the front line of healthcare services provision. The identified gaps in digital skills on the technologies and tools of Telecare, from the side of nurses and midwives pose a big burden in providing such services seamlessly, resulting in unsupported telecare healthcare. Innovative tools could ease the work of professionals and be more efficient, by utilizing less resources and increasing the quality of life of citizens. The core aim of the project is to empower nurses, a professional sector that is in the front-line the last days, with digital competencies to operate routine practice remotely through Telecare

The main Objectives of the project are:

  • Define employability skills compatible with The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) standards to foster the certification of acquired skills and facilitate the international employment prospects of the target group.
  • Develop learning contents and approaches intended for the project target group, to acquire basic employability skills.
  • Identify and work on capacity building opportunities for interested stakeholders and other 3rd parties in the Telecare sector
  • Develop digital training competences of trainers.
  • enabling them to high quality inclusive digital education
  • Promote coordination and cooperation among national and international stakeholders in the field of healthcare training to develop effective and innovative learning practices, applicable across Europe.
  • Contribute to the policy-making process for ensuring effective governance for telecare training on a local and EU scale.
  • Utilize online tools and applications to reach a large audience and support the wider effectiveness of learning activities.
  • Develop digital training competences of group professionals.
  • Increasing quality in the work, activities and practices of organisations and institutions involved.
  • Extend existing networks associations, private and public authorities, academic institutions, participant SMEs beyond national limits and identify new challenges to the disciplinary and regulatory diversity of training and skilling up of expert nurses. Local and regional authorities and healthcare organizations will be involved to integrate the suggested activities to the extend where scaling of results can be achieved and benefit larger portions of target groups.
  • Build a largely self-sustained Open Source Learning Repository and innovative practices and policies to facilitate an easier transition from traditional healthcare provision to more digital and web healthcare services.
  • Stimulate European awareness on digital skills of expert nurses and midwives
  • Empower expert nurses and midwives to be successful innovators in their local environment.
  • Equip target professionals with the necessary tools and competences to face unprecedented risks and social challenges.
